Red Cross Babysitter's Training

7 Hours - $100

The American Red Cross is the nation's leader in babysitting classes and child care training- and will prepare you to become one of the most capable, trusted and in-demand sitters in your neighborhood.  In fact, 8 in 10 surveyed parents said they would pay more for a trained babysitter who holds Red Cross babysitting certifications.  Start your babysitting business on the right foot and learn how to be a safe, professional and reliable sitter.  Students will earn an American Red Cross Babysitting certificate, as well as, become certified in CPR AED.

Paws For Kids- First Aid for Cats and Dogs

3 Hours - $30

Learn how to respond to health emergencies and provide basic first aid for the four-legged members of your family. Practice and preparation will help you be calm and effective in an emergency, protecting you and your animal from further injury or suffering.

This course will cover, understanding basic pet owner responsibilities, administering medicine, managing breathing and cardiac emergencies, managing urgent care situations, treating wounds, treating electrical shock, caring for eye, foot and ear injuries and preparing for disasters.

Sibling Boot Camp

3 Hours - $30

Expectant and new brothers and sisters learn the importance of being the family's "big kid," how a new baby will behave, and how they can help prepare, hold, and care for their new sibling.  Topics will include basic infant care including, diapering, feeding, holding and communicating with the new baby.  They will learn age-appropriate activities to engage and bond with their new sibling.  They will also be making a gift for baby!

First Aid Gone Wild!

3 Hours - $40

Whether you are a scout or you love spending time camping and hiking, this course gives you the skills you need to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed.  This exciting, hands-on course is designed to teach young adults how to take of themselves and others in an emergency.  Demonstrations and field exercises emphasize how to use improvised techniques and materials at hand. Tuition includes a first aid kit and course certificate.

Longfellow's WHALE Tales

4 Hours - $40

Come join the fun as Longfellow the whale teaches you about safety in, on and around the water!  Longfellow's WHALE Tales is a classroom based course that focuses on all aspects of water safety including boat safety, pool safety, life jacket use, the dangers of icy water, how to recognize unsafe currents and tides and how to escape them and the importance of swimming in pairs.

Safe at Home, Safe Alone

6 Hours - $60

Whether it's a snow day home from school, an unexpected business meeting, or a childcare arrangement that fell through, there probably will be times when you'll need to leave your child home alone.  This course will give children and parents the skills they need to be confident and prepared when children are home alone.  The course covers kitchen safety, dealing with emotions, creating a safe home, basic safety rules, telephone / internet safety, answering the door, stranger safety, recognizing an emergency and how to handle it, fire and weather emergencies and first aid emergencies.

CPR AED and First Aid for Youth

5 Hours - $70

Would you know what to do in a medical emergency?  Would you be able to care for someone that needed your help?  This course will give you the skills and confidence you need to handle any medical emergency that may arise.  The CPR AED portion covers CPR and AED use for adults, children and infants.  The first aid portion covers over 30 different illnesses and injuries.  This class is very hands on which allows you to perfect your first aid skills.  This course results in CPR AED First Aid certification through The American Heart Association.
